Happy Fishtank app for iPhone and iPad

Happy Fishtank helps remind and encourage you to clean your fish tank regularly so you can keep your fish happy and healthy.

We are Pandabots, a First Lego League (FLL) team of fourth graders based in Belmont, Massachusetts, USA. This app is part of our work on the 2016 challenge, Animal Allies.

For this challenge, we had to find a problem when people and animals interact. Then we had to design a solution that makes the interaction better for everyone. We decided to help people remember to clean their fishtanks. And that is the purpose of this app.

How does it work?

It’s easy. When you have this app installed, make sure you allow us to send you notifications. Then choose how often you want to clean your tank (every week or every other week) and set the number of days since your last cleaning. When it’s time to clean your tank, we’ll send you a reminder. After you receive your reminder, just tap on the “I Cleaned My Tank Today” button and we will schedule a new reminder for the next time you need to clean.
